good morning all!

i hope everyone had an awesome day! Tonight as you can see i have read Numbers chapter 6. This was a really sweet chapter all about the nazirite vow. I was basicly about the do’s and dont’s while taking that vow. first of no alcohal (V. 3) or anything coming from a grapevine (V. 4) They also must not cut their hair. This was to show a physical change in the person during their vow. (V. 5) The final thing they most not do is defile themselves by going near a dead body. This was to maintain purity (V. 6 - 8) it also deatails what someone is to do if someone around them dies (V. 9-12) the final thing the chapter talks about is how the priests were to bless people. This is super interesting because the bible i use (the apologetics bible for students) has an article in it about how a man named Gabriel Barkay discovered 2 silver scrolls that had the exact blessings in hebrew that is in numbers 6:24-26 they dated these scrolls back to 600 B.C. wow! that just proves the bible hasnt been tampered with!

no matter what is going on with you guys i want you to know i love you guys and so does God.

Good evening tum tum,

today as you can see in the title i will be blogging about Numbers chapter 5. The basis of this chapter is how to keep the Isrealite camp pure and how to do it in various ways. The first way of uncleanliness is when people have skin diseases, just simply comanding them to be put out side the camp untill they are clean once more (V. 1-4) The next part is so awesome! it talks about compensation for wrongdoings. “The Lord spoke to Moses: “Tell the Isrealites: When a man or a woman commits any sin against each other that person acts unfaithfully toward the lord and is guilty. The person is to confess the sin he has committed. He is to pay full compensation, add a fifth of its value to it, and give it to the individual he has wronged.” (V. 5-7) i thought this was so sweet! How often do we wrong someone and then give them a fifth more of what we harmed? i know i do not, its so crazy to think that that is how we should live and i totally agree with it! saying your sorry is hard to do in the first place but then replacing with more is just amazing! the final part of this chapter talks about a man being jelious of his wife and how they took care of that in that time. (V11-31)

wow i love learning new things every day like i do in the bible just how to be! I know its a pretty crazy world right now but we can be the light to the world and shine forever.

No matter what im pullin’ for you guys,

grace and peace

good evening tum tum, (or should i say good morning)

as i said in my last post i am going to chronicle my journey through the Bible so here is the first post where i hope to use more of the the Word and less of the rambling i have to say. To bring some of you up to speed, the Isrealites are currently getting ready to take out the canaanites and move into the promise land, and these first couple chapters of Numbers is taking the census of the Isrealites. In Numbers chapter 4 they are making a census of the Levites, (one of the 12 tribes of Isreal) and giving them the duties they are to porforme for the transporting of the Tent of Meeting. The really cool thing about this was that the men chosen were between the ages of 30 and 50, (V.23,30,35, etc.) and just the men in that age group from one of the 12 tribes of Isreal numbered 8,580 (V.48) which is crazy because if that is one age group than there must have been tons and tons of isrealites! I mean Numbers chapter 2 states that men from the 11 other tribes of Isreal that were over the age of 20 numbered at 603,550 (V.32). wow! that not even women and children! Well i hope that all of you have an awesome day tomorrow and get as excited as i do when i discover all this cool stuff that God has done and still is doing!

hello to everyone! there has been a recent explosion of people following me so i hope i dont disappoint! lets see things going on hmm… well its summer time thats awesome! i will be heading off to vcu in about 3 weeks so maybe if you guys are around there we can hang! my life has been a crazy hectic place with me only surviving by the grace of god. i have been with a buddy of mine as he has developed a ministry called the porch more less he gets some guys out to his house we have some cigars and talk about the Bible.i have seen some incredible things happen there Godworks in some amazing ways. he has taught me more in a month than he has in 18 years but that propbably is just because i wasnt listening. this has all encouraged me to actually read the bible i have been a very lame christian all these years i clamed to be christian, yet i didnt live it and had never read the bible so my friend challeneged me to learn why i believe what i do so thats exactly what i am doing. so what i hope to do on here is chronicle my journey through the bible and maybe help some of you who have questions. i have recently just finished leviticus so i am now in numbers. genesis was incredible, it showed me all those stories that i learned in sunday school. but not just the happy feel good stuff all the context with it. like i never new that noah (The guy that built the ark) was the first man in the bible to have a vineyard and get drunk. wow! or how when God told moses he was to lead isreal he said whoah! you dont want me! i was shocked to find that all these “biblical heros” were just regular dudes like me scared and nervous. Exodus was also incredible. it showed Gods faithfulness even when the isrealites strayed and were more or less butt holes it also showed that God will use even those of us that think we are to weak or cant speak for more good than we can imagine. and finally Leviticus. so many people say “ah Leviticus how boring” but i loved it it showed our depravity as humans to be good  enough for God and by the end of it i wanted more! sorry for the long post hopefully in the future i will cut them down a bit. but as i make my way through numbers hopefully i will have more verses and less what i think haha.

well until then, grace and peace

Its been a while since i have been on here its nice to get back on. Life is crazy! Im stressed about college and im not even in it yet! haha. oh well. The main topic for todays rant is…..perspective! most everything in life is about perspective. The way you take how something is said, the way you say something, really the way you live is all based on perspective. The most important thing about this rant to take into consideration is, other’s perspective. If you can take that into consideration you can be friends with anyone so if anyone out there has trouble making friends listen to this!

why are we so pressured to fit in? why do people all need to be the same? and why do we have to pressure each other to be what we want them to be? i some times feel bad about stuff that i enjoy because its not what something that i “should” like whatever happened to accepting people? or supporting people? i think its rather silly that people have to like what other people like just to fit in.

Today was a feeling of monotony, the feeling of the being in the daily grind of things. Doing the same things in school that i do all of the other days. As much as i hate these days there is a level of comfort of monotony. knowing how things will happen everyday but a spacific scheduale. It is a scary thing to embrace because you never know how to react to something new

Control is a powerful thing. People crave it, they need it, Some people kill for it even. Why do we need it so bad? so bad things dont happen? or are we so afraid of the unexpected that we cant step out of our box for just a second to see what else is out there. If we all relinquish control and just go with the plan that god has for us all wouldnt life be smoother? is it possible that everything would just fall into place? i can only hope
